"These are your favorite authors who you want to write another book but haven't yet. Or they are writing something, but no title or synopsis has been released and it isn't coming out until 2018. Try to keep this to authors who haven't announced anything concrete about a new book, not authors that have a highly anticipated release coming out before the end of 2016."

My picks, lovelies:

5. Morgan Rhodes:

I'm obsessed with the Falling Kingdoms series. Truly, utterly obsessed with it. It's an on-going series and I only read the first two books, there are still ones to be released in 2016, 2017/2018. What's funny is that I want her to write more books or prequels in the following years because that series is everything I asked for in a fantasy read. That's agony, my friends. For those of you who don't know, The Falling Kingdoms is pretty much a Young Adult-ish Game Of Thrones where your faves are not safe and everyone is fighting to rule. The whole wait is going to be quite the ride.

4. Leigh Bardugo:

To many, the queen of fantasy is Sarah J. Maas. To me, Leigh Bardugo is my queen. My favourite High Fantasy read of 2016 is Six Of Crows and I doubt that would change. It was honestly epic, I can't find a better description for it. And Leigh herself is a genius. So far, she only wrote the Grisha trilogy and we're waiting for the conclusion to the Six Of Crows duology to come out this September. She has to write more books, no one knows how to create better characters than her. No one.

3. Kerstin Gier:

At some point in our lives, we want to become writers. You could've read a book and got inspired to do the same. Perhaps you watched a movie and the plot was intricate enough to make you want to grab a pen and write something, anything down. Usually authors are the ones that start that passion in you and that's my case. I never wanted to be an author but that was before I read Kerstin Gier's books. I can't quite point out how she did it but what's done is done and I'll forever be grateful for her for allowing me such a dream. I want her to write and write and never stop. She's got magic. All authors have magic but hers is special. At least to me.

2. Marie Lu:

You know that quote from The Fault In Our Stars about reading grocery lists? That's me when it comes to Marie Lu. I would read her grocery lists, her scribbles on post-it notes, anything. What's painful is that she only has two trilogies so far and someone as great as her should, nay, must write a thousand books. I can never get tired of her writing style. She's a treasure when it comes to Young Adult/Dystopian Lit.

1. Neil Gaiman:

No, really. What did you expect? Your friend here is a total mess but I like being in a mess. It includes Gaiman so it's a nice mess (*whispers* did you spot the pun? did you?). Let's say that he is always up to something but he usually likes to keep it a secret so you'll never know when a new book of his will hit the stores! The only thing I know is that I sure as hell will digest it.

(Oh yeah, that's me whenever I see a new Neil Gaiman announcement on any of his social medias. No lie. I need help).
