♡ The Courtship Book Tag ♡

Sunday, August 2, 2015

Hello lovelies, I'm finally back and I know I haven't posted in here since months but I have my reasons to why I completely disappeared and I'm not going to rant about them because that's just a waste of time (and because I'm a terrible storyteller).

Anyway~ I decided to do a book tag which is for me way more fun than writing reviews (total energy drainers. But worth it).

I chose The Courtship Book Tag, originally created by Hi I Love Books (you can check her video here), It includes 10 questions and I was auto-tagged by Abookutopia.

Alright then~

Phase 1: "Initial Attraction": A book that you bought because of the cover.

Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy #1) - Richelle Mead

The reason why I chose these is because the original covers are just horrible but the french editions are stunning (and sparkly~ -pun not intended-). Plus I don't usually read Vampire books.

Phase 2: "First Impressions": A book that you got because of the summary.

Bad Beginning (A Series of Unfortunate Events #1) - Lemony Snicket

Dear Reader,
I'm sorry to say that the book you are holding in your hands is extremely unpleasant. It tells an unhappy tale about three very unlucky children. Even though they are charming and clever, the Baudelaire siblings lead lives filled with misery and woe. From the very first page of this book when the children are at the beach and receive terrible news, continuing on through the entire story, disaster lurks at their heels. One might say they are magnets for misfortune.
In this short book alone, the three youngsters encounter a greedy and repulsive villain, itchy clothing, a disastrous fire, a plot to steal their fortune, and cold porridge for breakfast.
It is my sad duty to write down these unpleasant tales, but there is nothing stopping you from putting this book down at once and reading something happy, if you prefer that sort of thing.
With all due respect,
Lemony Snicket

Come on, who wouldn't want to read THAT!

Phase 3: "Sweet Talk": A book with great writing.

The Lunar Chronicles - Marissa Meyer

There's just something special about the writing of this series. Read the books and you'll see~

Phase 4: "First Date": A first book of a series that made you want to pursue the rest of the series.

City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments #1) - Cassandra Clare

Even though I still only have the first book, I want to get the rest so desperately because the adventures in this series are just mind-blowing. I hope one day i'll collect them all.

Phase 5: "Last Night Phone Calls": A book that kept you up all night long.

Emerald Green (The Ruby Red Trilogy #3) - Kerstin Gier

I was obsessed with this trilogy and I couldn't wait to finish it. Absolutely worth the dark circles I had the following day.

Phase 6: "Always On My Mind": A book that you could not stop thinking about.

Legend Series - Marie Lu

These books changed the way I feel about certain things, that's why they're always on my mind.

Phase 7: "Getting Physical": A book in which you love the way it feels.

Gates of Paradise (Blue Bloods #7) - Melissa De La Cruz

THIIIIS. If I didn't already have spine issues I'd use it as my pillow.

Phase 8: "Meeting The Parents" : A book in which you'd recommend to your friends and family.

The Hunger Games Trilogy - Suzanne Collins

I guess this is perfect to recommend to friends and family because it can entertain young, old, male and female readers. Great plot, great characters, great writing, perfect recommendation.

Phase 9: "Thinking About The Future": A book or series that you know you'll re-read many times in the future.

Les Misérables - Victor Hugo

To be very honest, I don't re-read books. My TBR list is terrifyingly big so I don't have the time to re-read anything.  But I guess if I have to choose, it would be Les Misérables by Victor Hugo.

Phase 10: "Share The Love": Who would you tag.

I personally tag Ness from Romans Entre Amis and I auto-tag every other book blogger out there who wants to do it.

Phew! I guess that's it. Hopefully you guys enjoyed this tag as much as I did. Feel free to post your comments down below, I'd love to interact with other bookworms! I'll be doing another tag very soon! Take care darlings, Bye~♡
